We are working on behalf of our client, a not-for-profit organisation to recruit a Senior Training & Compliance Officer. You will play a vital role in supporting safety, quality, and compliance across the industry. This is a key position providing expert guidance on standards, legislation, and competence within the manufacture, installation, repair, and maintenance of building hardware, doorsets, industrial and garage doors, and automated gates and traffic barriers.

This position is based in Staffordshire. Please note that due to the location, the site is not accessible via public transport, so access to your own vehicle is essential.

What’s on offer for you:

  • A salary circa £50,000 per annum depending on experience
  • An annual car allowance of up to £7,000 per annum
  • A discretionary annual bonus based on company performance
  • The opportunity to progress rapidly within the organisation
  • 35 days' holiday including Bank Holidays and Christmas Shut Down
  • Earlier finishes on Fridays at 4pm
  • Free car parking

What you’ll do:

  • Deliver training courses virtually, at their training centre, and on-site at members’ premises throughout the UK and Republic of Ireland
  • Represent the organisation at standardisation and industry meetings, offering expert input and feedback
  • Contribute to the development of technical publications and future training materials
  • Conduct site inspections and provide comprehensive technical reports
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share knowledge and support to the members

What our client is looking for:

  • A technically minded professional with excellent communication skills
  • Confidence to deliver engaging training and the ability to provide clear, practical advice
  • A willingness to travel within the UK, this is essential
  • An understanding of engineering principles
  • Previous experience working within the industry
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal – ability to deliver online and face to face training
  • A full UK Driving Licence
