Our client, a well-established and highly respected industry federation, is looking to appoint an experienced Technical Director to lead its technical strategy and play a pivotal role in shaping the future direction of the organisation. Reporting directly to the CEO, this is a senior leadership role for a technically credible, commercially aware and forward-thinking individual.
This position is based in Staffordshire - 5 days per week. A competitive salary depending on experience.
- An annual car allowance of up to £7,000 per annum
- A discretionary annual bonus based on company performance
- 35 days' holiday including Bank Holidays and Christmas Shut Down
- Earlier finishes on Fridays at 4pm
- Flexible working as and when required

As the Technical Director, your duties include:
- Lead and develop the Technical Team, providing support and guidance
- Develop practical guidance, publications, webinars, training and technical initiatives
As the Technical Director, you will:
- Be proactive and driven with the ability to anticipate future issues, commercially aware, understanding the business impact of technical and regulatory change and technically credible, with strong knowledge of relevant legislation and standards
- Possess experience in leading teams and developing technical guidance, training or presentations
You will work directly with the CEO and leadership team, represent the organisation at a national and international level, influence standards and legislation, and help shape the services and support provided to members.
