This post is fixed term and linked to the provision required to support pupils with additional needs currently on roll at the school.
We are seeking to appoint a positive, self-motivated Learning Support Assistant who will join our team within The Ivory Federation. All of our schools have a friendly and strong caring ethos and we promote partnership working at every opportunity. We have strong values that support the personal growth and development of all children and adults in our school community.
The successful candidate will work closely with children with additional needs across EYFS and Key Stage 1 and therefore must have a strong understanding of child development, inclusive practice and early learning expectations.
We are looking for someone who:
- Is positive and self-motivated.
- Has experience supporting children with additional needs, particularly within EYFS and KS1, and holds a relevant Level 3 qualification in Early Years or Teaching Support.
- Has a secure understanding of the EYFS framework, early language development and KS1 expectations in phonics, communication and early maths.
- Can adapt learning, communication and routines to meet a range of SEND needs.
- Is professional, has a positive attitude and is supportive of their colleagues.
- Has high expectations for all children and is committed to developing their full potential.
- Has good communication and interpersonal skills.
