This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced DBA to join an established & industry leading ERP-based software house.

  • Established skills in T-SQL programming.
  • A deep understanding of Microsoft SQL Server fundamentals including, indexes, statistics, query plans, tempdb, installation, configuration, DMVs and troubleshooting.
  • A good understanding of relational table design including normalisation, constraints, OLAP vs OLTP, traditional data warehousing.
  • Experienced in critical thinking and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with Azure SQL Database and Azure SQL Managed instance would be beneficial.
  • Experience with Power BI would be beneficial but not essential.
  • Ability to communicate confidently with technical, non-technical, internal, and external personnel.

This is a chance for a well-qualified and experienced DBA to use their wider experience to step into a senior role in our core data services team. In a fast moving and intellectually challenging environment, our goal is to improve overall user satisfaction through product design and delivery. The system operates on a complex set of SQL Server databases across many different customer environments (including AWS and Azure). Working closely with the Head of Data Services you will be responsible for a wide scope of database support functions including design, support, performance, and disaster recovery.
