The Role

Working across GP practices in Glasgow and surrounding areas, you will provide clinical pharmacist services that directly improve patient outcomes and support practice teams. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting structured medication reviews
  • Independent prescribing within agreed clinical areas
  • Managing acute prescribing requests
  • Supporting chronic disease management
  • Identifying and resolving medicines‑related safety issues
  • Medicines optimisation and prescribing governance activities
  • Working collaboratively with GPs, nurses and wider practice teams

This role offers the opportunity to develop long‑term relationships with patients and colleagues while practising at the top of your licence in a highly rewarding clinical environment.

About You

We’re looking for a pharmacist who:

  • Is registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)
  • Holds an Independent Prescribing qualification
  • Demonstrates strong clinical knowledge and prescribing confidence
  • Is patient‑focused and committed to delivering high‑quality care
  • Works effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Previous GP practice or primary care experience is desirable but not essential. We welcome applications from Independent Prescribing Pharmacists with relevant clinical prescribing experience from other healthcare settings.
