An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a well-established multidisciplinary property and construction consultancy with an excellent reputation for delivering high-quality professional services across the built environment.
Based in Woking, you'll work alongside an experienced team delivering Quantity Surveying services across a diverse range of sectors, including commercial, residential, education, healthcare and public sector projects.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Quantity Surveyor looking to take the next step in their career, with genuine responsibility, client exposure and long-term progression within a growing consultancy.
Role and Responsibilities of the Senior Quantity Surveyor
- Providing pre and post-contract Quantity Surveying services across a range of projects
- Preparing cost plans, estimates and development appraisals
- Advising clients on procurement strategies and contract options
- Managing tender processes and analysing contractor returns
- Monitoring project costs, cash flow and financial performance
- Preparing valuations, cost reports and final accounts
- Providing commercial and contractual advice throughout the project lifecycle
- Working closely with clients, Project Managers, Building Surveyors and design teams
- Managing client relationships and supporting business development
- Supporting and mentoring junior members of the team
Skills & Experience of the Senior Quantity Surveyor
- Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline
- Strong consultancy Quantity Surveying experience
- Proven pre and post-contract experience
- Excellent cost planning and commercial management skills
- Good knowledge of construction contracts and procurement
- Strong client-facing and communication abilities
- MRICS qualified or working towards chartership preferred
- Experience across commercial, residential, education, healthcare or public sector projects advantageous
- Full UK driving licence
