An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Senior Building Surveyor to join a specialist construction and property consultancy in Winchester with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality projects. They are looking to expand their services and bring a Building Surveyor into the business, offering excellent scope for progression. This is a project-biased role, ideal for a Building Surveyor who enjoys working closely with clients, consultants and contractors to deliver refurbishment, extension and new-build schemes, predominately with education clients.

Role & Responsibilities of the Senior Building Surveyor:

  • Delivering building surveying and project management services
  • Leading refurbishment, extension and improvement works from inception through to completion
  • Preparing specifications of work, schedules, feasibility studies and cost advice
  • Contract administration under JCT forms
  • Managing consultants, contractors and stakeholder relationships
  • Attending site meetings and overseeing works on site
  • Ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget and to a high standard

Skills & Experience of the Senior Building Surveyor:

  • Degree-qualified in Building Surveying or similar
  • MRICS qualified is beneficial but not essential
  • Strong experience delivering construction projects, ideally within the education sector
  • Good working knowledge of JCT contracts and contract administration
  • Confident, client-facing communicator
  • Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously

Salary & Benefits:
