An excellent opportunity has arisen for an Intermediate Quantity Surveyor to join a progressive and growing construction consultancy based in Winchester. They provide a full range of services including cost management, project management and construction consultancy across sectors such as commercial, education, public sector and industrial projects. Role & Responsibilities of the Intermediate Quantity Surveyor:

  • Delivering cost management services across a range of projects
  • Preparing cost plans, estimates and feasibility studies
  • Managing procurement processes and tender documentation
  • Assisting with contract administration (JCT / NEC)
  • Monitoring project costs, valuations and variations
  • Supporting final account negotiations
  • Working closely with clients, contractors and project teams
  • Supporting senior colleagues across multiple live projects

Skills & Experience of the Intermediate Quantity Surveyor:

  • Experience within a consultancy or client-side environment
  • Strong understanding of construction and cost management principles
  • Experience working on refurbishment and/or new build projects
  • Knowledge of JCT and/or NEC contracts
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Ambitious and keen to progress towards chartership
  • Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or similar
