An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Property Surveyor to join a growing commercial property investment business with a diverse portfolio of retail, industrial, office and mixed-use assets.
Working closely with the Property Director, you'll gain exposure to all aspects of commercial property ownership, asset management and development. This is an ideal opportunity for a graduate or assistant-level surveyor looking to build a long-term career within commercial property, working across landlord & tenant matters, asset management, acquisitions and development within a supportive and entrepreneurial environment.
Role and Responsibilities of the Property Surveyor:
- Assisting with the day-to-day management of a commercial property portfolio
- Developing strong relationships with occupiers and responding to their property requirements
- Supporting landlord & tenant matters including lease renewals, rent reviews, dilapidations and licence agreements
- Liaising with surveyors, solicitors, architects and other professional advisers
- Undertaking property inspections and identifying opportunities to improve asset performance
- Supporting acquisitions, disposals and development opportunities
- Assisting with maintenance, refurbishment and improvement projects
- Maintaining tenancy records and property management systems
- Undertaking market research and supporting wider asset management initiatives
- Reporting directly to the Property Director
Skills & Experience:
- Degree qualified in Real Estate, Property, Surveying or a related discipline
- Previous experience within commercial property, surveying or property management desirable
- An interest in commercial property investment and asset management
- Knowledge of landlord & tenant matters would be advantageous
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Organised, commercially minded and proactive
- Working towards APC/MRICS or keen to pursue chartership desirable
- Full UK driving licence
