An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Project Manager to join an award winning construction consultancy based in Southampton. They offer project management, cost management and building surveying services to a range of clients and can provide the opportunity to work on a variety of projects across multiple sectors including education, residential, health, commercial and industrial.
Role & responsibilities of Assistant Project Manager
- Work under the direction of project manager assisting on delivery of schemes from £500k – £20m
- Comfortable delivering smaller projects and tasks assigned without supervision
- Assist with establishing detailed Client’s brief and responsibilities of consultants and specialist
- Interview and select contractors for tendering or negotiation, evaluate tenders received and appoint contractor
- Project manage schemes on sites (including contracts administrator and Employers Agent duties as required)
Skills & Experience:
- 2 years plus experience in Project Management
- Consultancy side experience preferred but contractor side will be considered
- Driven, motivated attitude with willingness to progress
- Strong communication skills- both written and verbal
