Valuation Surveyor - Flexible Location
An established independent surveying practice is looking to appoint a Valuation Surveyor to join its growing team.
This is a particularly varied valuation position and would suit someone who wants exposure to a broader range of property and instructions rather than focusing on one narrow area of valuation.
The workload will include a mixture of commercial and residential valuations alongside development appraisals and other valuation-related instructions. You'll have the opportunity to work across different property types, clients and locations while managing your own workload with a good level of autonomy.
The practice covers Dorset, Hampshire, West Sussex, Surrey, Berkshire and London, although your home/base location can be flexible. This makes the opportunity potentially suitable for surveyors based across a wide area of the South.
Role & Responsibilities of the Valuation Surveyor:
- Undertake a varied range of commercial property valuations
- Carry out residential valuations
- Prepare development appraisals and provide development-related valuation advice
- Undertake valuations for a range of purposes and clients
- Inspect properties and undertake market research and comparable analysis
- Prepare clear and comprehensive valuation reports
- Manage valuation instructions from initial appointment through to completion
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients
- Work across Dorset, Hampshire, West Sussex, Surrey, Berkshire and London
- Contribute to the continued growth and development of the valuation service
Skills & Experience
- MRICS qualified
- RICS Registered Valuer
- Previous property valuation experience
- Commercial valuation experience preferred
- Experience across residential and/or development valuation would be beneficial
- Strong analytical and report writing skills
- Confident managing instructions independently
- Strong client-facing and communication skills
- Full UK driving licence
- Comfortable travelling across the practice’s geographical area
Salary & Benefits
- Salary up to £60,000
- £5,000 car allowance
