- Role & Responsibilities
- To assist in generating fees throughout the management and development of existing and new clients and contribute towards the achievement of the financial and other objectives of the Building Surveying Department.
- To provide a full building surveying service to external clients and in house where required
- Carrying out Building Surveys of all types of commercial buildings and at times residential properties
- Preparation of Schedules of Dilapidations
- Project management, contract administration and design for refurbishment projects for commercial premises
- Undertaking CDM Co-ordinator role for in-house and external clients. Providing professional advice to clients and others as required.
- Providing a full Party Wall etc Act 1996 service to Building and Adjoining owners
- Preparation of Schedules of Condition
- Advising clients on preventative maintenance and planned maintenance strategy and implementing same.
- Investigating and advising client on specific building problems / defects
- Fire insurance valuations for commercial buildings and property portfolios
- Acting as expert witness in building or property disputes and providing appropriate reports etc
Skills & Experience
- MRICS Qualified or working towards chartership
- Broad range of experience in professional and project work
- Strong communication skills β verbal and written
- Ability to demonstrate technical competence.
- Current driving license.
