A well-established multi-disciplinary construction consultancy are currently seeking an experienced Project Manager to join their growing team. The consultancy works with a wide range of public and private sector clients across London and the South East, delivering professional services across a varied portfolio of construction and property projects. This is an exciting opportunity for a Project Manager to join an established consultancy where you will have the opportunity to take responsibility for projects from inception through to completion, working closely with clients, consultants and contractors.

As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing the delivery of construction projects, ensuring that projects are effectively managed against programme, cost, quality and scope. The role will involve working closely with multidisciplinary teams and providing clear communication and leadership throughout the project lifecycle.

Duties:

  • Project management from inception through to completion
  • Business Case Preparation and Project Management Plans
  • Developing and managing project programmes
  • Resource and time scheduling
  • Budget and cost control
  • Risk identification and mitigation
  • Change control procedures
  • Procurement and tendering strategies
  • Consultant and contractor appointments
  • Managing design and construction processes
  • Monitoring project progress through to handover and occupation
  • Managing client expectations and maintaining strong client relationships
  • Chairing and managing project meetings
  • Working collaboratively with consultants, contractors and other stakeholders

Candidate Requirements:

  • Proven experience working as a Project Manager within the construction or property sector
  • Relevant professional consultancy experience
  • Experience managing construction projects through the full project lifecycle
  • Strong understanding of project programme, cost, quality and scope management
  • Experience of procurement and tendering strategies
  • Knowledge of construction contracts, particularly JCT and/or NEC
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Strong client management and relationship-building skills
  • Well organised, efficient and able to work to tight deadlines
  • Proactive approach to problem solving
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Relevant professional qualification would be advantageous
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a car
