Principal Designer / CDM Consultant
A leading Multi-Disciplinary Consultancy are seeking a Principal Designer / CDM Consultant to join their growing Health & Safety team. Their diverse portfolio includes projects across the Commercial, Healthcare, Residential, Education and Public sectors. The Principal Designer / CDM Consultant will play a crucial role in managing the design process and ensuring that Health and Safety considerations are integrated from the outset of all projects.
Duties:
- Providing CDM Consultant services on a wide range of projects, ensuring compliance with legal requirements.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate health and safety into design proposals.
- Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies.
- Working closely with the CDM / PD Partner to manage key clients providing guidance and support on CDM regulations and best practices.
- Participate in design reviews and meetings to promote a culture of safety.
- Prepare and maintain project documentation, including health and safety files.
Candidate Requirements:
- NEBOSH Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety or equivalent. (Construction)
- Certified Member of Association for Project Safety (CMaPS).
- Construction background with proven experience in a Principal Designer / CDM Consultant role.
- Experience of working on a variety of projects including large scale construction projects.
- Strong understanding of CDM 2015 Regulations.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
