A well-established multi-disciplinary property and construction consultancy are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Project Manager / Employers Agent to join their growing team in Kent. The consultancy provides professional services to a diverse range of clients, including housing associations, local authorities and private developers across the South East.
As a Project Manager / Employers Agent, you will take responsibility for projects from inception through to completion, acting as a key client contact and leading the delivery of residential, mixed-use, regeneration and land-led developments. Working as part of a small and experienced team, you will have the opportunity to take ownership of projects, coordinate professional teams and build strong long-term relationships with clients and stakeholders.
Duties:
- Managing projects from inception through to completion
- Acting as Project Manager and Employers Agent
- Acting as the primary point of contact for clients and key stakeholders
- Coordinating consultants and wider project teams
- Managing pre-contract investigations, surveys and due diligence activities
- Chairing and minuting project and pre-contract meetings
- Preparing Employers Requirements and performance specifications
- Preparing build agreements and JCT contracts
- Managing single and two-stage tender processes
- Producing tender reports and value-for-money reports
- Maintaining project programmes, risk registers and action trackers
- Undertaking site inspections and monitoring construction progress
- Chairing and minuting site meetings
- Assessing contractor performance
