A leading multi-disciplinary construction consultancy are currently seeking an experienced Building Surveyor to join their growing Building Surveying team. The consultancy has a strong reputation across the construction sector and delivers projects for a wide range of public and private sector clients across London and the South East. This is an exciting opportunity to join an established consultancy during a period of continued growth, with a broad range of projects across sectors including education, residential, public and community buildings.
As a Building Surveyor, you will play an active role in the delivery of professional services and projects, with responsibility for a varied workload. The successful candidate will have strong technical knowledge and experience across building surveying, contract administration and project delivery.
Duties:
- Building Condition Surveys
- Measured Surveys
- Defect Analysis and preparation of formal reports
- Scheduling and specification writing
- Preparation of tender documentation and contracts
- Contract Administration
- Employers Agent duties
- Building Regulations and Planning applications
- Procurement advice
- Working on refurbishment, alteration and extension projects
- Liaising with clients, contractors and professional teams
Candidate Requirements:
- Ideally qualified to MRICS
- Previous experience working within Building Surveying
- Good working knowledge of scheduling and specification writing
- Experience preparing tender documentation and contracts
- Experience undertaking Contract Administration and Employers Agent duties
- Experience of building condition surveys, measured surveys and defect analysis
- Strong communication, management and team-working skills
- Ability to work independently and use initiative
- Experience across a variety of project sectors would be advantageous
- Experience of aids and adaptations, Party Wall matters, DDA audits, AutoCAD and CDM regulations would be advantageous
- Full clean UK driving licence and access to your own road-legal vehicle
