Our Client is currently seeking an experienced Night Concierge to join their team at a site based in West London. Below, you will find a complete breakdown of everything required of potential candidates, as well as how to apply. Good luck.

Working 4 on 4 off with the hours of 7pm - 7am. Salary is £29,000 annually.

Duties include:

  • Provide a reception facility for residents.
  • Contribute to the safe and orderly day-to-day running of the building for the benefit of all residents.
  • Help ensure that the communal area environment is managed to a consistently excellent standard.
  • Ensure that the desk is covered throughout your shift, or if you are on patrol or on your break that appropriate signage is displayed and that you are carrying the mobile phone provided.
  • Assist residents, guests and visitors when and where required.
  • Ensure that you are always courteous, polite and positive towards residents.
  • Accurately log receipt and collection of any registered mail, packages, laundry / dry-cleaning and other deliveries that may be placed in your care for residents.
  • Answer the telephone, log all messages and deal with general enquiries.
  • Manage the CCTV and monitor the security of the development.
  • Ensure effective security of the building and car park.
  • Carry out regular checks that all gates and external doors are operating correctly and not being left unsecured.
  • Investigate and report any suspicious occurrences or security compromises to the Building Manager.
  • Monitor all persons within the development and ensure they have a right to be present.
  • Not allow any visitor you have let into the building to proceed to an apartment without first obtaining permission via the intercom from the resident whom they wish to visit.
  • Undertake patrols of the development as directed by the Building Manager, to log any health & safety issues and to ensure that the common parts of the building are kept clear of obstructions at all times.
  • Respond swiftly, calmly and appropriately at all times to fire alarm activations and pre-alarms in accordance with established site procedures.
  • Be familiar with all reporting and logging procedures at the building.
  • Follow procedures for recording, reporting and following up incidents/accidents and complaints.
  • Report any damage or malfunction of any plant to the Building Manager and/or, in urgent situations, to the Managing Agent's out-of-hours service or appropriate external contractors.
  • Log and report any incidents of disrepair immediately to the Building Manager / Managing Agent, including all building defects, plumbing, electrical and lighting defects.
  • Ensure all contractors in attendance at the building are properly signed in and out, and that they are made familiar with and adhere to the regulations of the building.
  • During night shift hours, only contractors who are attending to an emergency situation should be permitted on site.
  • Ensure that all keys held at reception are kept securely and logged in and out in accordance with existing procedures.
  • Ensure that key waiver forms are utilized.
  • Ensure that porters' desks are kept in a clean and orderly condition.
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues.
  • Prepare for and participate actively in thorough, structured handovers between day and night shifts.
  • Carry out any additional duties as directed by the Building Manager and Managing Agent.
