Our client is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to join the opening team of a flagship 1,000+ bed student accommodation development in East London. This flagship building features modern M&E infrastructure, extensive resident amenities, and a highly technical environment. Working as part of a large on-site team, you'll play a key role in ensuring the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of the building from day one. The role combines hands-on engineering with team supervision, making it ideal for someone who enjoys staying close to the tools while taking ownership of day-to-day maintenance delivery. Ideal for an experienced engineer or supervisor looking to take the next step within a leading PBSA platform.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee day-to-day maintenance operations across the site
  • Lead and support a small team of maintenance operatives and contractors
  • Deliver planned and reactive maintenance across HVAC, FCUs, AHUs, pumps and plant
  • Ensure statutory compliance, PPMs and health & safety requirements are met
  • Investigate faults and drive effective maintenance solutions
  • Monitor building performance through BMS and site systems
  • Support the successful launch and ongoing operation of the development

Your Requirements:

  • Experience as a Maintenance Supervisor, Lead Engineer, Shift Supervisor or Senior Engineer
  • Strong building services knowledge including HVAC, FCUs, AHUs, pumps and plant
  • Hands-on fault-finding experience across mechanical and electrical systems
  • Experience managing contractors, permits and safe systems of work
  • Good understanding of compliance, water hygiene and health & safety
  • Exposure to BMS systems and modern building services infrastructure
  • Proactive, hands-on leadership style with excellent communication skills
