Role Description

The Contract Manager role is a full-time, on-site position based in Bovey Tracey.

The Contract Manager will oversee the planning, coordination, and delivery of property maintenance contracts, ensuring work is completed safely, on time, and to the required quality standards.

Day-to-day responsibilities include supervising site teams, managing subcontractors, scheduling works, and monitoring costs and budgets.

The role involves liaising with clients, surveyors, and suppliers, preparing and reviewing quotations and contracts, and maintaining accurate project documentation and reports.

The Contract Manager will also support compliance with health and safety regulations, participate in risk assessments, and help ensure emergency and routine works are managed efficiently.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience in contract management, project coordination, or site management within property maintenance, construction, or a related field.

  • Sound knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices; any training or certification related to H&S, asbestos awareness, or risk assessment is beneficial.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with clients, colleagues, and suppliers.
  • Proficiency in using office and project management software (e. g., email, spreadsheets, scheduling tools) and maintaining clear, accurate documentation.
