Role Overview

As a vital member of the on‑site engineering team, you will ensure efficient running of production equipment and services on a continental shift pattern (4 on, 4 off). You will support proactive and reactive maintenance activities to minimise downtime, enhance performance, and maintain safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Cooperate in a continuous improvement environment.
• Fully understand the health and safety rules and regulations, taking responsibility for your own safety and that of others.
• Identify faults quickly to minimise downtime.
• Ensure appropriate equipment is used and fit for purpose.
• Order spares correctly.
• Maintain a high standard of record keeping and report errors or non‑conformance.
• Communicate effectively with management and other departments.
• Maintain safety devices and report any malfunctions or misuse urgently.

Essential Requirements

• Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
• Confidentiality and professionalism in all undertakings.
• Approachable, flexible, and methodical.
• Keen attention to detail and problem‑solving ability.
• Professionally qualified engineer.

Desirable Requirements

• Proven multi‑skilled engineering experience (troubleshooting, fault finding, etc.).
• Previous experience in a food manufacturing environment.

Shift Pattern

4 days on, 4 days off (2 days 2 nights, 12‑hour shifts).
