The Person
This person will have a hunger and ambition to find the best. They will thrive in fast-paced environments and have the energy and tenacity to keep raising the bar on the talent we’re looking for. They will have a desire to build and improve things, not just maintain and will be organised, resilient, and able to manage a high volume of roles without compromising on quality. The ideal person will be highly personable and have the ability to build strong relationships with candidates and hiring managers alike. They will know how to influence, challenge, and guide managers to make great hiring decisions. They will be values-led and a highly confident communicator, caring deeply about how the business shows up externally and the experience of every person who comes into contact with us.
The Role
As our Talent Acquisition Manager, you will own and deliver end-to-end recruitment at PROPER SNACKS, acting as our sole in-house recruiter and trusted partner to hiring managers across all corners of our business. A key part of our People & Culture function, this is a hands-on, high-impact role where you will directly recruit the majority of our talent while also managing external agencies as required. The role can be based at either our London or Nuneaton site where we manufacture our snacks, but will be required to visit the other site every two weeks to connect with the teams on the ground.
Responsibilities
- Own and manage the full end-to-end recruitment lifecycle across all functions (salaried roles only, not hourly paid)
- Ensure our recruitment processes are fair, inclusive, and consistent across the business
- Partner closely with hiring managers to understand their needs, shape roles, and advise on hiring strategy, market conditions, and process
- Proactively source the best talent in the market using a variety of channels including LinkedIn, direct outreach, networks, and creative sourcing approaches
- Ensure candidates have the best possible experience – one that’s personal, efficient and memorable (for all the right reasons!)
- Work with the People team to design and continuously improve recruitment processes, interview frameworks, and hiring practices
- Be a champion of DEI and ensure we continually evolve our processes to move the needle in this space
- Manage external recruitment agencies, including briefing, performance and budget management
- Manage our ATS system to ensure we’re maximising its functionality and simplifying the experience for candidates and managers
- Build and maintain strong talent pipelines for critical and recurring roles
- Ensure we show up to candidates in the market in a compelling and consistent way
- Track and report on recruitment activity and use data to identify opportunities to improve
Requirements
- Depth of recruitment experience ideally in a fast-growing or scaling business
- In-house experience is a plus but we would also consider candidates with several years of agency recruitment experience
- Experience managing a high volume of roles across different functions and disciplines
- Strong end-to-end recruitment experience, from role scoping and sourcing through to offer
- Experience managing and getting value from external recruitment agencies
- Familiarity with ATS systems and data-driven recruitment practices
- Experience recruiting into FMCG is preferable
- Experience recruiting into both office-based and manufacturing roles is preferable
