Join Our Mix Prep PM Shift as a Production Operative! We have an exciting opportunity for a Production Operative to join our Mix Prep PM Shift. This is a hands‑on, fast‑paced role at the heart of our pastry production, perfect for someone who enjoys physical work and producing high‑quality food products.
Hours of Work: 14:00–00:30 (with 2 x 30‑minute unpaid breaks)
Hourly Rate: £13.21 per hour
Enhanced Rate: £16.51 per hour for hours worked between 20:00–06:00 or hours over 37.5 per week
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up scales and mixers at the start of each shift to ensure production can begin smoothly.
- Decant and prepare ingredients for Mix Prep and Production Line teams.
- Weigh out ingredients precisely following bespoke recipes.
- Record batch numbers and maintain full traceability of all raw ingredients and completed mixes.
- Keep production lines well‑supplied throughout your shift.
- Operate mixers to ensure every mix is perfectly blended.
- Prepare glaze for pastry products, ensuring consistency and quality.
- Minimise waste and dispose of it correctly to maintain a clean, safe working environment.
- Work as part of a close‑knit team with a dedicated Team Leader.
- Complete a comprehensive training programme to develop your food manufacturing skills.
Please note: This is a physically demanding role that involves lifting up to 25kg and being on your feet for most of the shift.
