Join Our Mix Room PM Shift as a Production Operative! We have an exciting opportunity for a Production Operative to join our Mix Room PM Shift. This is a hands‑on, fast‑paced role at the heart of our pastry production, perfect for someone who enjoys physical work and producing high‑quality food products.

Hours of Work: 14:00–00:30 (with 2 × 30‑minute unpaid breaks)

Hourly Rate: £13.21 per hour. Enhanced rate: £16.51 per hour for hours worked between 20:00–06:00 or hours over 37.5 per week.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Machine Setup: Set up scales and mixers at the start of each shift to ensure production can begin smoothly.
  • Ingredient Preparation: Decant and prepare ingredients for Mix Prep and Production Line teams. Weigh out ingredients precisely following bespoke recipes.
  • Product Safety & Traceability: Record batch numbers and maintain full traceability of all raw ingredients and completed mixes.
  • Production Support: Keep production lines well‑supplied throughout your shift. Operate mixers to ensure every mix is perfectly blended. Prepare glaze for pastry products, ensuring consistency and quality.
  • Waste & Hygiene Management: Minimise waste and dispose of it correctly to maintain a clean, safe working environment.
  • Teamwork & Training: Work as part of a close‑knit team with a dedicated Team Leader. Complete a comprehensive training programme to develop your food manufacturing skills.

This is a physically demanding role that involves lifting up to 25kg and being on your feet for most of the shift.
