Join Our Packing Team - (Day Shift)
Hours: 07:00–17:15, 4 days out of 5 (Monday to Friday, with one rotational day off per week)
Breaks: 2 x 30-minute unpaid breaks per shift
Pay: £13.21 per hour standard. Enhanced rate of £16.51 per hour for hours worked between 20:00–06:00 or over 37.5 hours per week.
What You’ll Do
As a Packing Production Operative, you’ll be a key part of our friendly day shift packing team, ensuring our finished products are packed accurately and efficiently to specification and customer requirements. This is a hands‑on role where attention to detail is essential. You’ll need to be IT literate and comfortable standing for most of your shift.
Key Responsibilities
- Checking finished products for quality, ensuring correct size, shape, and compliance with product specifications
- Packing finished products into boxes accurately and efficiently in line with product specifications
- Placing full boxes onto the packing conveyor belt for taping, weighing, and labelling
- Assembling boxes and changing tape reels and printer reels to keep packing operations running smoothly
- Programming and setting up packing robots on relevant product lines, including optimising pastry spacing and rechecking products rejected by the robot
- Palletising and wrapping completed boxes, preparing products for dispatch in line with specifications
No Experience? No Problem! Full training is provided. After successfully completing your probation period, you will gain:
- Food Safety Level 2 certificate
- Health & Safety Level 2 certificate
