Join Our Team as a Casual Pie Line Operative. We’re expanding and have launched a brand-new Pie Line! This is an exciting opportunity to join our friendly Production team on a casual basis, supporting the growth of our operations during a busy and exciting period. As a Casual Pie Line Operative, you’ll be at the centre of a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment, helping to produce thousands of delicious cooked savoury products every day. Hours of Work
- Day Shift: 07:00 – 17:00
- Working Pattern: Thursday to Friday
- Hourly Rate: £13.55 (Band 2)
Important: This is casual employment. This role is offered on a casual basis, meaning:
- Shifts are offered in line with business needs
- No guarantee of ongoing or fixed hours
- Hours may vary from week to week

The Role: What You’ll Be Doing
- Work on a busy production line preparing cooked savoury products in large volumes
- Accurately measure and mix ingredients using standardised recipes
- Operate and monitor industrial cooking equipment, including mixers, cooking kettles and cooling racks
- Portion, shape, cook and package products at speed while maintaining quality
- Monitor cooking times and temperatures to ensure consistency
- Identify and resolve production issues quickly to avoid delays
- Maintain a clean and hygienic production area throughout your shift
- Follow strict cleaning schedules and food hygiene protocols
- Clean equipment, tools and surfaces to food safety standards
- Manage waste disposal and restock cleaning supplies as needed
- Carry out regular quality checks for taste, appearance and freshness
- Ensure consistent portion sizes and presentation
- Report and address any quality concerns promptly
- Adhere to all food safety regulations and allergen‑handling procedures
- Ensure correct storage of ingredients and finished products
- Wear appropriate PPE and maintain accurate production and cleaning records
