Role Overview
A hands-on Print Production Manager responsible for leading the technical aspects of packaging production across FMCG accounts. This person will act as the technical authority in pre-production, ensuring print feasibility, quality, and consistency across suppliers and print processes. The role will involve travel across the UK, including London and Witham and possible trips within Europe for print runs.
Key Responsibilities
- Attend and contribute to pre-production meetings with clients, customer service teams, and food suppliers.
- Assess print feasibility, review design files and guidelines, and determine how artwork should be built in the studio.
- Provide technical recommendations and solutions, confidently leading the technical part of discussions.
- Liaise with third-party printers and attend print runs across Europe.
- Ensure strong print grounding across flexo, litho, gravure, and digital processes.
- No team leadership responsibilities.
Experience Required
- Minimum 5 years in a print/packaging organisation.
- Strong technical print background across multiple print processes.
- Solid understanding of FMCG packaging.
- Confident communicator able to “hold their ground” in client meetings.
