We are currently seeking a technically minded but no less entrepreneurial and proactive Director - Colour Specialist, to take on the driving, lead role for our Colour Lab proposition. The ideal candidates will possess a flair for relationship, new business development and management, and have a nose for identifying and exploiting commercial opportunities. However, just as important is that you are also comfortable with the technical aspects of print, in particular the science, theory and management of colour.

Our Colour Lab product offers a unique proposition within the global market place, and represents an outstanding opportunity for a seasoned print professional to make their unique mark on our business. You will enjoy full autonomy to grow Colour Lab as you see fit - not only from a client perspective, but also from a product and strategy perspective too. And with SGS&Co and SGK now combining, there are multiple opportunities for you to leverage a huge existing client network in support of your growth objectives.

For the right person, we will offer an outstanding package and base salary, and also bonus scheme. Please be advised that this is also a remote working role - therefore we welcome applications from relevant candidates from anywhere in the UK.

What you will do:

  • Serve as the primary contact for ColourLab and ColourHub accounts.
  • Understand client goals, challenges, and industry trends to provide tailored solutions.
  • Regularly communicate with clients to ensure their satisfaction and address any issues.
  • Develop and execute plans to achieve client and company objectives.
  • Identify opportunities for upselling or cross-selling services to grow value.
  • Collaborate with sales, marketing, and product teams to align strategies.
  • Act as a liaison between clients and internal teams to ensure projects are delivered on time.
  • Monitor PQM progress, and manage client expectations effectively.
  • Track Print supplier production metrics, including quality scores and trends.
  • Prepare and present PQM performance reports to clients and print suppliers.
  • Use data insights to recommend improvements and drive client success.
  • Work collaboratively with Product Owner team to develop ColourHub platform.

  • Expert in colour science, colour theory and colour management.
  • Background in print and packaging.
  • Proficient in PQM and QA software platforms.
  • Confident public speaking and presentational skills.
  • Ability to translate complex data into simple easy to understand presentation.
