This is a role for an experienced InSAR Processing specialist to join a well-established organisation that continues to grow. This is a remote role but you must be based in the UK (no sponsorship available).

The Role

We are looking for an InSAR Processing Specialist to join our technical delivery team. This is a hands-on role focused on building rigorous, high-quality data processing pipelines, converting complex earth observation data into clear, client-ready outputs.

The right fit for this role will work closely with product and science teams, helping to shape technology direction, standards and best practice across the wider processing pipeline.

Key areas of responsibility include:

  • Developing a rigorous understanding of the InSAR technology stack, covering both D InSAR and Persistent Scatterer Interferometry (PSI) based processing
  • Assessing existing systems and production processes and recommending or implementing improvements
  • Determining the most cost-efficient way to process imagery across enterprise, cloud and on-premise environments
  • Interacting with product owners and scientists to understand application technology direction, standards and best practices
  • Creating and maintaining documentation on best practice InSAR processing
  • Developing and maintaining Python-based scripts to enable efficient data processing across multiple teams, including pre-sales, customer success and delivery
  • Ensuring expected application performance levels are achieved
  • Participating in development planning and prioritisation sessions
  • Converting raw image pixels into business consumable data and preparing client reporting through data interpretation
  • Supporting business development through technical input

About You

For this role, you will be an experienced, detail-oriented InSAR specialist who is equally comfortable in the science and the production side of the work. You will likely have:

  • Five or more years of production experience delivering high-quality products to clients
  • A Master's degree or above in a relevant discipline such as Geodesy, Earth Science, Remote Sensing or Engineering (Civil, Electrical or similar)
  • Knowledge of agile software development practices and comfort participating in development planning and prioritisation sessions
  • An understanding of the fundamentals of earth observation satellites, including data processing and the use of software and production pipelines to convert raw image pixels into business consumable data
  • Strong project management skills and attention to detail across planning, execution and reporting

Must have technical skills:

  • Strong knowledge of InSAR processing techniques
  • Competent scripting ability, particularly in Python
  • Quality assurance and verification know-how

Nice to have technical skills:

  • Cloud deployment experience (AWS or Azure)
  • Experience working in UNIX environments
  • In-depth technical InSAR knowledge
  • Specific InSAR experience in infrastructure, dam, mining or other asset monitoring
  • Experience in large scale InSAR processing
  • Experience working directly with clients

The Company

We are a growing technology team working in the earth observation space, building tools that turn complex satellite data into clear, actionable insights. The team is expanding and this role offers genuine scope to shape how processing is done.
