Propel are partnering with a fast-growing sports brand who are looking for a part-time freelance Social Media Manager. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a strong knowledge of sports culture — ideally with experience working in live sports, football, or other sports environments. The role offers flexible working, around 3 days per week, with some evening and weekend work required in line with live coverage.
The role:
Manage programming and scheduling of content across social platforms
Edit and adapt athlete-led shows, podcasts and highlights for digital use
Create and deliver content strategies across Instagram, TikTok, X and YouTube, tailoring content to each platform
React to cultural and sporting moments in real time to engage Gen Z and wider sports fans
Support day-to-day posting, community management and audience engagement
What we’re looking for
- Proven understanding of sports culture, with hands-on experience in live sports, football or other sporting environments
- Skilled across all major social platforms, with knowledge of formats, specs and engagement best practices
- Flexibility to work some evenings and weekends around live events
- A positive, proactive approach and a collaborative mindset
