Sales Engineer – High-Growth AI SaaS
I’m working with a fast-growing, VC-backed SaaS company building next-generation technology for finance and accounting teams. The company is redefining how modern finance organisations manage their data, automate complex workflows, and gain real-time accuracy using AI-driven tools. They are scaling rapidly having recently closed over $50million in funding!
They’re now seeking a Sales Engineer to play a pivotal role in the next stage of their journey. If you enjoy bridging the gap between complex accounting pain points and modern software solutions — and you thrive in high-impact technical conversations with Controllers, Finance Directors, or Accounting leaders — this role will suit you well.
What You’ll Do
- Translate complex accounting workflows into clear, compelling product value
- Partner closely with AEs on discovery, technical strategy, and objection handling
- Navigate questions around ERPs, reconciliations, integrations, APIs, and data flows
- Build credibility with senior finance stakeholders throughout the sales cycle
- Create repeatable demo assets, playbooks, and internal tooling
- Feed customer insights back to Product, GTM, and Marketing
What We’re Looking For
- 4+ years in accounting with strong understanding of the month-end close, reconciliations, and financial workflows
- CPA highly desirable
- Experience leading technical SaaS demos or working in sales engineering / solutions consulting
- Strong communication skills — able to simplify complexity and keep stakeholders engaged
- Understanding of ERPs (especially NetSuite), integrations, APIs, and close-management processes
- A builder mentality and comfort working in a fast-moving early-stage environment
Nice to Have
- Big 4 or corporate finance experience
- 2+ years in a customer-facing technical role
- Familiarity with multi-entity & multi-currency accounting
- Ability to run basic SQL queries is a plus
