A high-growth, consumer-facing app business is looking for a Head of Paid Media to provide senior-level cover during a period of overlapping team changes. This role will sit at the top of the performance function, owning paid acquisition strategy, execution oversight, and team leadership.

You’ll take full ownership of the paid media function, leading strategy, managing significant budgets, and supporting a lean performance team through a transitional period.

Responsibilities
  • Owning and driving paid media strategy across all performance channels
  • Full budget ownership of circa £10m annual performance spend
  • Oversight of paid social, PPC, affiliates, and broader paid channels (including offline activity)
  • Acting as the senior escalation point for performance decision-making
  • Leading, mentoring, and supporting a team of 3–4 direct reports
  • Partnering closely with senior marketing and product stakeholders
  • Ensuring strong tracking, measurement, and performance insight across channels
  • Rolling sleeves up where needed – performance is run fully in-house, not via agencies
