Our client is a specialist consultancy operating at the intersection of property, engineering, and data, helping commercial buildings perform better in the real world. They work with asset managers and landlords to optimise building performance, reduce energy use, and improve occupier experience through a combination of engineering expertise, smart technology and building data. They are now hiring a Graduate Intelligent Building Engineer to join their growing specialist team.
The Role
This is a hands-on graduate position where you’ll learn how commercial buildings truly operate. Working alongside experienced engineers, you’ll develop practical knowledge of HVAC systems, building controls (BMS), energy performance and building optimisation across live commercial properties. You’ll support both project delivery and ongoing building performance, helping identify operational improvements that reduce energy use and improve efficiency.
What You’ll Do
- Support system installations, integration and site commissioning
- Analyse BMS and building performance data
- Assist in reviewing HVAC and plant system performance
- Support investigations into system inefficiencies
- Work with site teams and contractors to implement improvements
- Contribute to building performance optimisation projects
About You
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering or similar
- Interest in HVAC systems, building controls and commercial buildings
- Passion for sustainability, energy efficiency and operational performance
- Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills
- Comfortable working with technical data and reporting insights
- Willing to spend time both onsite and in the office and travel across the UK when required
