The predicted salary is between 75000 - 80000 £ per year.

This is a well-established, PE-backed B2B SaaS business that has quietly built one of the most trusted platforms in its space. With around 12,000 customers and roughly 20% market share, it has a strong installed base, a world-class NPS score, and a brand that is recognised across its target market.

The business is now in a clear growth and modernisation phase, with serious investment behind the marketing function for the first time. A second product, recently acquired and in its own scale-up phase, adds a significant cross-sell opportunity.

The marketing function is being built around three specialist leads — Growth, Content, and Field. This Content hire is part of that build.

As Content Marketing Lead, you will own the full content function across both products. This is a foundational, hands-on role working directly alongside the Head of Marketing, with a clear plan to grow a team beneath you from later in the year.

You will set the strategy and you will produce the work. The cadence is high — weekly podcast, regular webinars, consistent YouTube output, case studies, blog, email and LinkedIn — and AI is encouraged and expected as part of how you scale.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Owning the content strategy and editorial calendar across both products
  • Writing and producing across blog, long-form, case studies (target ~2 per month, supported by the customer team), email nurture, and landing pages
  • Scripting and producing video and podcast content — YouTube, weekly podcast episodes, webinar scripts and post-event repurposing
  • Owning LinkedIn organic content as the primary social channel
  • Leading SEO and organic growth across both brands
  • Partnering with the Product team on positioning and content for new features and releases
  • Working closely with the Growth Lead on paid promotion of content and supporting HubSpot campaigns when capacity allows
  • Briefing and managing freelance and agency support where needed
  • Building and developing a small team from later in the year

The Ideal Candidate

You will be a hands-on B2B content marketer who has built or led a content function in a lean SaaS environment. You think strategically, you write brilliantly, and you are equally comfortable scripting a podcast episode, recording a YouTube explainer, and crafting a long-form blog. You have managed people before and you are ready to do it again as the team grows. You use AI properly — not as a curiosity but as part of how you work.

You Will Likely Have

  • 5 to 8 years of B2B content marketing experience, ideally in SaaS
  • Previous people management experience
  • A strong written portfolio of work you have personally produced — across long-form, short-form, social and ideally video or podcast
  • Comfort in front of and behind the camera — scripting, recording or producing video and podcast content
  • Hands-on HubSpot experience and a working knowledge of SEO tools
  • Demonstrable use of AI tools to scale content output
  • A track record of growing organic traffic and contributing to pipeline
  • A genuine builder's mindset — you want to create something, not just optimise what already exists

The Package

£75,000 – £80,000 total package. Primarily remote, UK-based, with once-a-month travel to the South East office. The chance to join a business at an inflection point and own a function from the ground up. Benefits package.
