Propel is supporting one of the world’s leading ecommerce apps — profitable, founder-led, and growing fast, with 600,000+ customers (and 2,000 new businesses joining daily). The goal is to turn that user base into a real community and make community the beating heart of the brand, connecting founders, marketers, and operators online and in person. The role is to architect a brand-new global community program — designing how it runs, where it lives, and how it scales. You’ll work across marketing, product, and customer success to connect users, identify advocates, and ensure every merchant feels part of something bigger. You’ll also shape the offline side by launching local meet-ups in cities like London and New York, leading up to the company’s first flagship event next year.

Responsibilities

  • Define and build a new global community from the ground up.
  • Choose the right platforms (Reddit, Discord, LinkedIn, etc.) and grow engagement.
  • Moderate discussions, highlight member stories, and spark conversation.
  • Identify power users and turn them into advocates and ambassadors.
  • Partner across teams to embed community in every customer touchpoint.
  • Launch local events and the brand’s first major global gathering.

Who We’re Looking For

Someone who’s built a community before — digital or physical — and understands how to create connection at scale. You’re naturally active online, know where people hang out, and love bringing them together. You might come from SaaS, tech, or even gaming or creator communities — what matters is you’ve seen what good community looks like. This role combines digital engagement, events, and brand building. It’s creative, hands-on, and genuinely high-impact.
