- We're looking for an experienced
Director of Information Security & Governance to lead the next phase of our information security, governance, cyber risk and AI governance journey.
Our governance foundations are already in place—including an Information Management System, Cyber Essentials Plus, NHS DSPT compliance and an AI Governance Framework.
The opportunity now is to embed these across the organisation, shape long-term strategy and ensure governance enables innovation as the business continues to grow.
This is a strategic leadership role, equivalent in scope to a Chief Information Risk Officer (CIRO), focused on influencing senior stakeholders, developing capability and building a mature governance function—not hands-on technical delivery.
You'll be responsible for
- Leading Information Security, Governance, Information Risk and AI Governance.
- Embedding governance frameworks across the organisation.
- Driving secure and responsible AI adoption.
- Partnering with Engineering, Data and Analytics teams to enable innovation.
- Advising senior leadership on information risk and cyber security strategy.
- Developing the function as the organisation continues to scale.
We're looking for someone who has
- Senior leadership experience in Information Security, Information Governance or Information Risk.
- Worked within highly regulated environments managing sensitive data.
- Experience with NHS, healthcare, government or social care data (or organisations supporting these sectors).
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence at executive level.
- Knowledge of Information Governance, Information Risk, AI Governance, Cyber Essentials Plus and the NHS Data Security & Protection Toolkit (DSPT).
This is an opportunity to join a growing technology organisation supporting a nationwide children's social care platform, where you'll play a pivotal role in shaping how information governance, cyber security and AI evolve as the business continues to scale.
If you're passionate about building governance functions that enable innovation while protecting critical information, we'd love to hear from you.
