Business Development Representative – London

Hello London BDRs!

I’m working on an exciting opportunity for a driven and ambitious Business Development Representative (BDR) to join a fast-growing, AI-powered SaaS platform that’s transforming the construction and utility industries.

As this innovative start-up continues to expand, they’re looking for a BDR based in London to play a key role in generating new business. Reporting directly to the Business Development Manager (BDM) on the East Coast, US, you’ll be responsible for building a strong pipeline, engaging key decision-makers, and booking high-quality meetings. This is a great opportunity to develop your skills under an experienced leader while making a real impact in a fast-growth company.

My client is an award-winning digital platform that turns video and audio data into real-time workflows and analytics dashboards, helping businesses streamline operations, reduce paperwork, and enhance safety. Unlike many start-ups, they have the backing of a corporate powerhouse, providing the security of a larger organisation while maintaining the agility and energy of a high-growth business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prospect and generate new business opportunities through outbound calls, emails, and LinkedIn outreach.
  • Book and qualify meetings with key decision-makers, ensuring a seamless handover to the sales team.
  • Work closely with the US-based BDM, learning best practices and refining your outbound sales approach.
  • Research and identify target companies and stakeholders within the construction and utility industries.
  • Manage your pipeline effectively, keeping accurate records in the company’s CRM system.
  • Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to optimise outreach strategies and refine messaging.
  • Stay informed on industry trends and company offerings to communicate value effectively to potential clients.

What We’re Looking For:

  • A driven and resilient salesperson with a passion for outbound prospecting.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage and build relationships with senior stakeholders.
  • Organised and proactive, able to manage multiple prospects and prioritise effectively.
  • A team player, eager to learn and develop under experienced leadership.
  • Ideally, two years of experience in SaaS or tech sales, with a proven track record of success.
  • Bonus if you’ve sold into the construction, utilities or infrastructure sector, but not essential.

What’s on Offer:

  • £40,000 – £50,000 base salary + commission package
  • Hybrid working – two days a week in the London office
  • The opportunity to work for an emerging market leader in the space
  • A clear progression path into closing roles and beyond
  • And some other great employee benefits!

If this sounds interesting to you, let’s have a casual chat!
