Cyber Security Consultant
Location: Fully Remote – travel to customer sites when required
Salary: £65,000 + £5,000 car allowance
I’m working with a leading technology services business that is growing its Cyber Security team and looking to hire a Cyber Security Consultant.
What you’ll be doing:
- Working with customers to define the scope and objectives of security assessments
- Delivering infrastructure penetration testing
- Delivering Cyber Essentials and Cyber Essentials Plus assessments
- Carrying out vulnerability assessments
- Identifying security gaps and providing practical remediation guidance
- Communicating technical findings clearly to customers and senior stakeholders
- Supporting pre-sales and post-sales activity where required
- Working with vendors around product updates, technical issues and improvements
- Maintaining quality processes and operational documentation
- Sharing knowledge and supporting the development of technical capability within the team
- Keeping up to date with emerging threats, technologies and security best practice
What they’re looking for:
- 3+ years’ experience within IT or Cyber Security
- Experience delivering infrastructure penetration testing OR Cyber Essentials Plus assessments
- An industry-recognised certification such as CREST CRT, OSCP, Cyber Scheme CTSM, VA+ or equivalent
- Strong customer-facing communication skills
- Confidence communicating with senior stakeholders and explaining technical concepts to non-technical audiences
- Ability to build strong customer relationships and provide practical security advice
- Experience working within an MSP, MSSP or similar customer-focused technology environment is particularly relevant
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to customer sites when required
- Ability to manage your own workload across multiple customer environments

Desirable: Cyber Essentials / Cyber Essentials Plus Assessor certification, a relevant degree, and experience with phishing simulations or social engineering assessments.
Package
£65,000 base salary + £5,000 car allowance
Fully remote, with travel to customer sites when required.
