Shape the commercial future of one of the UK’s fastest-growing social commerce partners. This is a rare opportunity to build, lead and elevate the full client function of a high-growth business, working directly with founders at a pivotal moment in their journey. This fast-scaling social commerce partner supports some of the most recognisable consumer brands across creative, content, influencers, live shopping, logistics, fulfilment and performance reporting. The environment is collaborative, ambitious and high-energy, with a culture rooted in curiosity, accountability and continuous improvement.
As they mature, they are now investing in senior leadership to build stronger structure, clearer direction and a more scalable operating model across the client function. This is a career-defining role for an experienced commercial leader who thrives in fast-moving environments and wants the autonomy to shape how a business scales. As Commercial Director, you will sit on the senior leadership team and report directly into a founder, owning the entire client and revenue function. You will set the vision for Account Management, build the structure, deepen capability across the team and put in place the commercial frameworks that support sustainable growth.
You will be the senior point of contact for the company’s most valuable partnerships, responsible for revenue performance, renewals, commercial positioning and long-term client satisfaction. You’ll play a key role in expressing the wider commercial strategy — influencing pricing, scoping, margin performance and forecasting across a diverse portfolio of brands. Beyond client delivery, you will embed operational rigour, lead senior hiring, develop talent pipelines and create consistency in how the team plans, communicates and executes.
The founders are looking for someone who brings maturity, clarity and commercial sharpness — someone who can elevate the function, support expansion into new markets and act as a trusted adviser to both internal and external stakeholders. If you enjoy building, leading and shaping a business from within, this role offers extraordinary scope.
The Role
- Lead the entire Account Management function, evolving structure, process and culture as the organisation scales.
- Line-manage senior client leads and oversee the performance, wellbeing and development of the full client team.
- Own senior relationships with high-value client partners and act as the primary escalation point for complex issues.
- Drive commercial strategy across pricing, scoping, forecasting, revenue and margin performance.
- Collaborate with Creative, Paid Media, Product, Live Shopping and Operations to deliver integrated, high-performance outcomes.
- Lead senior business reviews and guide long-term planning for key accounts.
- Build and maintain clear frameworks for talent development, hiring, onboarding and professional standards.
- Influence cross-functional decision-making and contribute directly to company-wide growth strategy.
Required Skills
- 8+ years’ experience in senior client-facing roles with proven commercial ownership and revenue management.
- Experience leading and developing multi-level client or account teams in digital-first or ecommerce-led organisations.
- Strong P&L management skills — confident in forecasting, pricing, margin optimisation and risk management.
- Ability to influence C-suite stakeholders and navigate complex, high-pressure client situations with clarity and composure.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to shift between big-picture direction and decisive operational problem-solving.
- Experience in scale-up, high-growth or entrepreneurial environments is advantageous.
- Familiarity with social commerce, TikTok Shop or performance marketing is beneficial but not essential.
