Responsibilities
- Lead operational excellence of the Lending function; manage and develop the Lending team, ensuring smooth day‑to‑day operations and high performance.
- Drive efficiency by reviewing and improving workflows and processes to reduce friction and enhance productivity.
- Embed automation by implementing and optimizing technology solutions to reduce manual decisioning and intervention points.
- Champion compliance by ensuring lending processes meet FCA Consumer Duty principles—fair value, transparency, and ethical decision‑making.
- Inspire change by engaging teams, empowering the Junior Lending Manager, and fostering a culture of adaptability and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate cross‑functionally with Product, Tech, and Compliance to deliver scalable, automated solutions.
- Monitor performance by defining KPIs for automation success, efficiency, and team utilization; report on progress and risks.
Requirements
- Proven experience in lending operations or customer experience leadership within a regulated environment.
- Strong understanding of FCA Consumer Duty and risk management principles.
