From this continued success we are now looking to recruit a Lead DevOps Engineer to allow us to continue our exciting growth plans. As Lead DevOps Engineer, you will have a unique challenge to shape the DevOps program of Propel Finance, which supports the deployment and operations of the Propeller application; this in-turn supports the company’s growth as more business is generated through it. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with product owners and business analysts regarding ongoing product deployment and operations, ultimately ensuring the quality of the product through designing and implementing innovative solutions to support the company’s DevOps process.
Role responsibilities:
- Working alongside other project teams, support the DevOps cycle of a complex digital product that ultimately supports commercial business priorities.
- Collaborate with other project teams, quality assurance testers, business analysts, and product owners to define the scope, offer feedback, and agree on mutually positive and achievable solutions.
- You’ll also be responsible for assessing and employing fit for purpose automated testing strategies to exercise the DevOps process of the application and ensure system availability, resilience and integrity.
- Work with both IT and Development to jointly manage our IaaS / SaaS architecture and help shape our processes to enhance our DevOps capabilities.
Key skills required:
- Extensive experience working in a fast-paced and resilient DevOps environment. Experience working for a start-up or in a stand-alone DevOps role would be beneficial.
- Expert knowledge of Amazon Web Services, including how to manage and monitor server instances and database instances.
- A solid understanding of LAMP Stack.
- Continuous Integration knowledge.
