Due to our continued growth, we’re looking for a proactive and commercially minded Business Development Specialist to join our friendly team at our Market Harborough office on a part-time basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for a confident sales professional who enjoys building relationships, generating opportunities and making a real impact within a growing business.

What you'll be doing:

  • Generating new business opportunities from prospect and target clients
  • Building and developing relationships with SME and corporate organisations
  • Conducting business development calls to secure appointments and meetings
  • Identifying recruitment opportunities and following up vacancy leads
  • Working closely with our recruitment consultants to maximise business opportunities
  • Supporting LinkedIn outreach campaigns and social selling activity
  • Collaborating with our Marketing Manager on lead generation campaigns
  • Following up marketing activity and converting enquiries into meetings
  • Helping to expand Vanilla Recruitment's presence within existing and new markets
  • Maintaining accurate records of business development activity and pipeline opportunities

What we're looking for:

  • Previous business development or sales experience gained in a B2B environment; recruitment sector experience would be advantageous but is not essential
  • A proven ability to identify and develop new business opportunities
  • Experience of working towards and exceeding targets
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Confidence in speaking with decision-makers at all levels
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
  • A positive, resilient and self-motivated attitude
  • A genuine interest in helping businesses solve recruitment challenges
