The Role
Seeking a highly motivated Named Account Manager to develop and own a portfolio of enterprise‑scale accounts.
Day‑to‑Day Focus
- Hunt and develop large enterprise accounts with 2,500‑15,000 users across verticals.
- Articulate and promote the company’s value proposition and services to become a trusted advisor to customers.
- Work with internal resources, including System Engineers, to prepare account strategies.
- Collaborate with Systems Engineers to organize and deliver compelling, flawless product demonstrations.
- Partner with the channel to gain access into new accounts.
- Deliver operational excellence, including forecast accuracy and Salesforce (SFDC) pipeline development.
- Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of Proofpoint’s competitive positioning in the marketplace.
Qualifications
- Experienced technology sales professional with a focus on SaaS and disruptive technologies.
- Experience in Cyber Security is a plus.
- Proven track record of over‑achieving targets, net new logo acquisition, and ability to leverage channel partnerships.
- Ability to establish strong business relationships at the executive level.
- Strong business acumen and ability to become a trusted client advisor.
- Experience closing complex opportunities in the range of $100k – $1m.
- Proficiency in formal sales training methodologies such as MEDDIC, Challenger, TAS, or Command of the Message.
- Willingness and aptitude to be coached and diligent in following a proven sales process.
- Entrepreneurial self‑starter with a consistent focus on account planning, pipeline generation, and opportunity progression.
- Strategic in approach but always act with urgency.
- Experience using Salesforce is preferred.
