The Role

Senior Inside Sales Engineer working with Commercial accounts. After onboarding and product training, you will be a trusted advisor to Account Managers, Channel Partners, and customers, providing people‑centric security solutions.

Your Day‑to‑Day

  • Collaborate with the sales team to develop and execute account penetration strategies
  • Design and champion complex people‑centric security solutions across the Proofpoint portfolio
  • Assist with professional services deployments, technical training, and industry seminars or trade shows
  • Provide customer insights to Product Management, Marketing and Engineering teams
  • Support and enable Channel team distributors and resellers
  • Gain expertise in Email Security, Advanced Persistent Threats, Attack Protection, Threat Response, DLP, and the threat landscape
  • Occasional travel required

What You Bring To The Team

  • Proven hands‑on experience as a Sales/Systems Engineer, Technical Account Manager, Security Engineer, or senior level product support in cybersecurity
  • Experience in secure messaging, data security, network security, endpoint, NOC/SOC, or MSP‑related cybersecurity
  • Excellent presentation, communication, and organizational skills
  • Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus
  • Exposure to at least two of the following skill sets:
    • Enterprise email solutions such as Exchange, O365, G‑Suite, Lotus Domino, or working knowledge of SMTP
    • IT security areas such as Vulnerability and Risk Management, Security Operations or Incident Response
    • Data Loss Prevention, compliance and data privacy
    • Cloud security and shadow IT monitoring
    • Cloud computing infrastructure (e.g., AWS, Azure)

Nice to Have

  • Hands‑on experience with Directory Services and protocols such as Active Directory, Azure AD, LDAP, iDP (identity providers)
  • Email authentication (SPF, DKIM, DMARC)
  • Networking and protocols such as DNS, LDAP, HTTP
  • Experience with security standards and frameworks such as ISO, MITRE and/or NIST
  • Certifications like CISSP, CCSP or other industry credentials
