The role
We’re looking for a successful Regional Marketing Manager for the UK, Ireland and South Africa - You'll be the face of marketing to regional sales. You own the regional marketing plan and represent the full marketing scope to the regional sales leaders. This is the connective role between marketing and sales in region. You bring a strong understanding of ABM and digital, and you can guide strategy or roll up your sleeves and execute.
Your Day to Day
- Own the regional marketing plan across demand gen, channel, events, and field. You're accountable to quarterly and annual targets and budget. UK and Ireland are the priority; South Africa is covered but not the main focus.
- Be the single point of contact between marketing and regional sales leadership. Represent the full marketing scope to sales, translate their priorities into programs, and keep both sides aligned.
- Partner with the ABM Director to bring account‑based programs to life in region. You guide and support execute the regional plays.
- Create and run Proofpoint events in region. You own them start to finish: concept, format, venue, content, invites, and follow‑up, including Proofpoint conference, executive roundtables, CISO dinners, and field events.
- Run partner marketing programs with our resellers and strategic partners. Build joint and co‑funded campaigns that drive pipeline through the channel.
- Work with the digital team to run integrated campaigns that feed the regional plan: webinars, content syndication, paid media, and email.
- Localise corporate EMEA campaigns for the region and brief agencies where needed.
- Keep sales and marketing tight. Join the quarterly regional sales meetings with the mid‑market and enterprise teams and report on what's working.
- Partner with Product Marketing and PR to shape messaging for the region.
- Build cross‑sell, upsell, and competitive take‑out programs to grow our footprint.
- Report quarterly on every program: responses, MQLs, and marketing contribution to pipeline. Bring the recommendation, not just the number.
What you bring
- Proven B2B marketing experience in SaaS, cloud, or IT security.
- A strong understanding of Modern B2B marketing method. You can guide strategy and execute the plays, even though you won't own the program in this role.
- Comfortable using AI in your day to day. We run an active AI program in marketing and want people who already work this way.
- Confidence working with sales leadership. You can hold the room with a regional sales leader and represent marketing credibly.
- Strong event experience. You've built and run your own events, not just shown up to them.
- Demand gen across the full mix: digital, social, content, webinars, paid, and field.
- Experience running programs through resellers and partners. Specific channel marketing experience is a plus.
- Salesforce experience required.
- A creative thinker who brings new ideas and is comfortable challenging the default.
- Resilience and drive to thrive in a fast‑moving market.
Location and travel
- Based in our Reading, UK office.
- Around 20% travel, primarily across the UK and Ireland.
