The Role

Join as a member of our platform team with the Tessian Group - make your mark on some exciting projects (Kubernetes migration, Scaling and Data Storage Challenges) and contribute to the team’s mission to supercharge our Engineers and Data Scientists productivity, enable the group for hypergrowth and lead the way on security, reliability and cost effectivity. Bringing your data expertise to upskill both the team and work closely across our other engineering teams.

  • Design, implement and maintain infrastructure and services within cloud environments.
  • Contribute to delivery of key projects addressing challenges around scaling, data storage, data privacy and security.
  • Aid in delivery of our Kubernetes migration.
  • Embed in the Platform team and become a key player in projects across Engineering and Security.
  • Implement process and quality improvements through task automation.
  • Drive and promote best practice with regards to data storage and longer term architectural decisions across teams.

Experience:

  • Proven understanding of the significance of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles and active involvement in contributing to IaC initiatives, ensuring infrastructure provisioning and management is automated and version-controlled.
  • Hands-on experience with containerization technologies such as Docker, alongside proficiency in orchestration tools like Kubernetes, enabling the deployment and management of containerized applications at scale.
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language (preferably Python) and a keen willingness to engage with and work in diverse programming languages, showcasing adaptability and a commitment to continuous learning.
  • AWS - experience with services such as EC2, ECS, EKS, S3, RDS, DynamoDB, ELK, RDS Aurora.
  • Demonstrated experience in facilitating the adoption of Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) practices within software development life cycles (SDLC), aiding developers in implementing efficient CI/CD pipelines.
