Role Summary

A Senior Engineer or Senior Consultant with a minimum of 3 years hands‑on experience implementing and supporting Ping Identity (heritage ForgeRock) solutions. Each engineer has extensive experience in one or more of:

  • PingAM (Formally ForgeRock Access Manager)
  • PingGateway (formally ForgeRock Identity Gateway)
  • PingDS (formally ForgeRock Directory Services)
  • PingIDM (formally ForgeRock Identity Management)

Key Competencies

  • Industry protocols such as OpenID Connect, OAuth2, SAML and SCIM.
  • JavaScript
  • Developing secure solutions
  • Deploying and operating the Ping platform utilising DevOps methodologies.
  • Deploying the Ping Identity platform into cloud platforms.
  • Validating planned solution changes ensuring alignment with best practices, security, target state and organisational policies.
  • Mentoring junior colleagues building and implementing changes to the platform ensuring changes are secure and supportable.
  • Providing an escalation point to junior colleagues during incidents through on‑call rota.

Evidence

  • Certifications in the ForgeRock products, and other IAM technologies
  • Knowledgeable about wider cyber security issues
  • Broad knowledge of IT infrastructure components, including networking, servers, storage and virtualisation
  • Broad knowledge including Restful APIs, directory services, LDAP
  • Evidence of experience with IAM, IGA and PAM solutions
  • Evidence of working in an agile / DevOps / continuous improvement methodology
  • Evidence of working on complex engagements and giving a clear account of the issues faced, and how they worked individually and as part of a team on resolutions
  • Communication skills and the ability to differentiate to stakeholders both technical and non‑technical
