Role Summary
A Senior Engineer or Senior Consultant with a minimum of 3 years hands‑on experience implementing and supporting Ping Identity (heritage ForgeRock) solutions. Each engineer has extensive experience in one or more of:
- PingAM (Formally ForgeRock Access Manager)
- PingGateway (formally ForgeRock Identity Gateway)
- PingDS (formally ForgeRock Directory Services)
- PingIDM (formally ForgeRock Identity Management)
Key Competencies
- Industry protocols such as OpenID Connect, OAuth2, SAML and SCIM.
- JavaScript
- Developing secure solutions
- Deploying and operating the Ping platform utilising DevOps methodologies.
- Deploying the Ping Identity platform into cloud platforms.
- Validating planned solution changes ensuring alignment with best practices, security, target state and organisational policies.
- Mentoring junior colleagues building and implementing changes to the platform ensuring changes are secure and supportable.
- Providing an escalation point to junior colleagues during incidents through on‑call rota.
Evidence
- Certifications in the ForgeRock products, and other IAM technologies
- Knowledgeable about wider cyber security issues
- Broad knowledge of IT infrastructure components, including networking, servers, storage and virtualisation
- Broad knowledge including Restful APIs, directory services, LDAP
- Evidence of experience with IAM, IGA and PAM solutions
- Evidence of working in an agile / DevOps / continuous improvement methodology
- Evidence of working on complex engagements and giving a clear account of the issues faced, and how they worked individually and as part of a team on resolutions
- Communication skills and the ability to differentiate to stakeholders both technical and non‑technical
