Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Grocery Shopper / Merchandiser role based in Hamilton city, Bermuda. The role involves accurately picking and packing customer orders, ensuring products are fresh, correctly labeled, and securely packaged. The Grocery Shopper / Merchandiser is responsible for stocking shelves, rotating inventory, setting up displays, and maintaining clean, organized store areas. Day-to-day tasks include checking order lists, locating items in-store, updating inventory levels, and communicating with team members to resolve stock or order issues. The role also includes assisting with basic customer inquiries, following safety and food-handling guidelines, and supporting overall store operations as needed.
Qualifications
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in picking, packing, and labeling grocery orders.
- Ability to manage time effectively, prioritize tasks, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication and teamwork skills to coordinate with colleagues and assist customers professionally.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift and move grocery items, and handle repetitive tasks safely.
- Basic numeracy and comfort using handheld devices or point-of-sale systems to track orders and inventory.
- Reliability, punctuality, and a proactive work ethic with a focus on customer service and store presentation.
- Previous experience in grocery, retail, warehousing, or merchandising is beneficial but not required.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as business needs require.
