- Deliver person-centered care tailored to each individual's needs and preferences.
- Assist with personal care, including washing, dressing, toileting, grooming, and oral hygiene.
- Support individuals with eating, drinking, meal preparation, and nutrition.
- Administer or assist with medication in accordance with company policies and training.
- Encourage and promote independence and life skills wherever possible.
- Support individuals to access the community, attend appointments, education, employment, or social activities.
- Maintain accurate, clear, and timely care records and documentation.
- Monitor and report any changes in an individual's physical or mental health.
- Safeguard vulnerable adults and children by recognising and reporting concerns promptly.
- Follow infection prevention and control procedures, health and safety legislation, and moving and handling practices.
- Communicate effectively with service users, families, colleagues, and healthcare professionals.
- Respect confidentiality and comply with data protection requirements.
- Provide emotional support, reassurance, and companionship.
