The Client Relationship Executive will provide day-to-day sales support and account coordination, with some account management responsibility for a defined portfolio of predominantly (GC1) smaller clients. The role focuses on sales administration, internal coordination, and project delivery support, ensuring a smooth end-to-end client experience and enabling Account Directors and Senior Client Relationship Managers to focus on growth and strategic opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the account management of a portfolio of smaller clients, acting as a day-to-day point of contact where appropriate.
- Support the creation and maintenance of account plans for smaller clients, helping to identify straightforward opportunities for growth and progression.
- Maintain positive day-to-day client relationships through structured communication, accurate administration and effective follow-up.
- Coordinate assigned projects and support timely delivery, with clear communication throughout.
- Support proposal preparation for the AD & SCRM, including reaching out to the relevant internal teams for costings.
- Act as a coordination point for the delivery team
- Provide day-to-day sales support to Account Directors and Senior Client Relationship Managers, including preparation of proposals, pricing support, client documentation and follow-up activity.
- Support the new business process, including booking administration, tracking and internal coordination.
- Assist in managing pipeline activity, including chasing pending approvals, client responses and internal actions.
- Raise and manage invoices and purchase orders (POs) in line with company processes.
- Monitor and chase outstanding POs, invoices, and pending financial items to ensure timely completion.
- Maintain accurate client and project records within internal systems.
Project & Operational Coordination
- Brief internal Operations, Digital and Legal teams clearly and accurately to ensure smooth project delivery.
- Act as a coordination point between sales, operations, digital and legal for assigned projects.
- Support the delivery of projects in line with regulatory requirements, company processes, and client expectations.
Process & Quality Management
- Maintain high standards of accuracy, attention to detail, and compliance across all client and project activity.
- Ensure effective handovers and documentation at every stage of the client journey.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of sales support processes and ways of working.
Skills & Experience Requirements
- Some experience in a sales support, account support, or client services role, ideally within a marketing, media, promotions, or professional services environment.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks, deadlines and stakeholders with appropriate support.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with confidence liaising with both clients and internal teams.
- High attention to detail, particularly in financial administration, documentation, and compliance.
- Developing commercial awareness, with an understanding of sales processes and client lifecycle management.
- Comfortable working collaboratively with senior sales stakeholders, including ADs and SCRMs.
- Proactive, reliable and willing to take ownership, with a practical problem-solving mindset.
- Confident using CRM systems and internal financial / project management tools.
