Cumberwell Park , one of the leading golf venues in the Southwest of England, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Golf Operations Manager. This is a unique opportunity to join an outstanding team and play a pivotal role in delivering and enhancing an exceptional experience for our Members and Guests.
Cumberwell Park enjoys some of the finest facilities in the region, including 54 holes of golf, a spacious retail area, a short game practice area, extensive practice facilities, and an Indoor Golf Centre equipped with eight state-of-the-art simulators. Overview of Role:
As the Golf Operations Manager at Cumberwell Park , you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the club's golf activities. This includes managing the Golf Shop retail operation, collecting relevant green fees and ancillary products, administering club competitions, and leading our coaching team.
You will coordinate all aspects of the golfing experience, ensuring the highest standards of customer service and member satisfaction. Your leadership will play a key role in maintaining the club's reputation for excellence and enhancing the overall experience for our Members and Guests.
Key Responsibilities:
- Retail Operation, manage a first-class Golf Shop, overseeing product buying, inventory levels and merchandising, ensuring competitive prices and excellent service for our members.
- Oversight of indoor studio with eight golf simulators.
- Golf Fee Collection, oversee the collection of fees for all golf-related activities such as green fees, range balls, and buggies/trollies.
- Coaching Team Management, oversee a team of coaching professionals (both employed and self-employed) to provide high-quality golf coaching for our members.
- Competition Schedule Management, develop, promote, and administer an innovative competition schedule.
- Leadership in Customer Service, lead by example in providing excellent customer service and creating a positive atmosphere for both club members and visitors.
- Personnel, manage rotas, ensuring business coverage, recruit, train, appraise, and develop staff to enhance service standards.
- Business Development, contribute to the future strategy for business development, gathering innovative ideas, and staying current with industry trends and products.
About You:
- Golf retail and management experience
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Golf Operations Manager or Head Professional.
- Live or be able to relocate within a 30-minute drive time of Cumberwell Park (Bradford on Avon)
- Understand the requirement for weekend work and occasional evenings.
- Ideally knowledge of Intelligent Golf software.
